Recently, one of the biggest beverage producers worldwide invited us to present our broad energy-efficient stirring technology product portfolio, especially our high-performance agitators. Our challenge should be to develop a drive with appropiate customer-specific flange solution for their special stirring containers they use in their production. Challenging were not only the tight space conditions. Additionally, the large centric opening necessarily had to stay free for filling. Nonetheless, the agitator should stir in the center of the stirring container.

To be able to deliver the customised solution exactly in accordance with our customer’s requirements and as fast as possible, our customer delivered his special stirring container to us.
The motor was constructed, produced and assembled in our in-house technical centre and mounted to the customer’s container. We mounted our agitator next to the cover opening and placed it diagonal for a centric stirring, thus, achieving the best mixing result. Due to high hygiene standards in the food industry and the need of a high resistance against aggressive detergents, the use of stainless steel for the whole construction was obvious. Robust food-safe sealings and a special surface treatment of the motor housing were core characteristics of the agitator as well to facilitate cleaning. The special surface treatment, the roller burnishing, is a speciality of PTM and delivers incomparably even and robust surfaces.
Successful performance tests on the customer container in our in-house testing laboratory delivered optimum results. After final customer acceptance, the project was concluded on schedule.
