Product packaging is a powerful sales promotion and differentiation tool for companies. Quality, choise of colours, design – all these factors influence the perception and product assessment by the consumer. Therefore, the high-quality implementation of customer specifications for product packaging is of great importance.

Our customer, Schumacher Packaging GmbH, is an international manufacturer of all types of packaging and a technological leader in the industry. Schumacher offers the complete service through to the final print. In addition to the optical, the mechanical surface quality plays a very important role. It must be ensured that the printed packaging can be safely handled in the ongoing processing process. This is especially essential for inline coating. Here the varnish finishing process is directly integrated into the production process and does not take place separately via an external machine, as is the case with offline varnishing.

In order to maintain the varnishes’s properties specified by the manufacturer, it is important to feed the varnishes into the printing process in a permanently homogeneous manner. After the varnish has been stored in the delivery container for a longer period of time, this can only be ensured by carefully stirring it up beforehand.

On the friendly recommendation of a PTM customer, Schumacher Packaging, Forchheim, found this security in the IBC container agitator from PTM mechatronics. This can be used equally for 600l and 1,000l IBCs. Fastened with our high-quality stainless-steel traverse, our container agitators stir any type of substance. The water-based dispersion varnish retains its original homogeneity and Schumacher offers its customers the usual high product quality.
