PTM pneumatic motors - versatile and individual

Our PTM pneumatic motor is an extremely flexible drive for an unimaginable number of applications. It is robust, incomparably powerful and at the same time so economical in consumption that it is being used in more and more applications in a wide range of industries in times of energy change and the drive for continuous efficiency improvements. For example, it is at the heart of our Agitator technology eco-Series.

The task for our engineers

Our customer, the TECLAC Werner GmbH based in Fulda, specializes in the surface treatment of plastic components for the exterior and interior of vehicles as a contract manufacturer. Its range also includes complete parts and components with treated surfaces.

TECLAC specializes in the painting of plastic surfaces of outstanding quality. This high standard naturally places high demands on all systems that accompany the product through to completion. TECLAC works with painting robots to apply the paint. These apply the paint to the surfaces using a paint or spray gun. This precision mechanical component must be cleaned regularly, for example when changing to a different color. Manual cleaning is neither an efficient nor a clean solution. This is where the cleaning brush with our PTM compressed air motor comes into play.

Engineers with an inventive spirit

Our customer was initially just looking for a suitable drive for his cleaning brushes. He found it in our PTM motor, which is not only energy-efficient and powerful, but also water-resistant in accordance with IP67 is. So TECLAC sent us the cleaning brush assembly. It was not possible to simply install the motor. A special solution had to be found.

In the first step, our engineers transferred the structure of the cleaning brush into a CAD model. The PTM motor was then designed into the model as efficiently and stably as possible. After the technical implementation of the assembly, the motor was integrated into the TECLAC assembly with all components using the CAD model.

After the first assembly underwent extensive testing and performed to the complete satisfaction of our customer, ten cleaning brushes for painting robots are now already in use.

Special solution from the manufactory

PTM has an in-house development department whose engineers specialize in the development of special solutions. Our guiding principle is that nothing is impossible. That is why we approach every task, no matter how complex, with an open mind and an inventive spirit. Modern software and tools guarantee the best possible solution.
