The challenge

ChemNex GmbH from Saal an der Donau is an innovative company that specializes in additives for industrial cooling water treatment. As part of a special project, ChemNex was looking for a flexible solution for its new system: the aim was to cover both stainless steel tanks with a 400 mm manhole and standard plastic IBCs with a DN160 mm opening within a standardized system.

The system had to be able to feed powders and liquids into a single stirring process.

Our solution

We developed a modular, electrically operated agitator system with an IBC stand for wall mounting that was precisely tailored to the requirements of ChemNex GmbH. The stand was given an extended lifting height: for ChemNex-specific UCON stainless steel containers and classic plastic IBCs. The eco-Start container detection system in the special lid covers the DN400, DN225 and DN160 container openings equally and ensures a safe stirring process in the closed container. The media is supplied via a TriClamp connection, to which both a funnel for powders and a Kamlock connection for liquids can be connected.

The entire mixing process is controlled by an integrated timer - reliably, precisely and without manual intervention. The control panel ensures safe and simple operation of the agitator with two-hand operation, emergency stop and restart protection.
