In its special production, PTM mechatronics developed a flexible rotary axis that can be used in the ATEX-zone 0 can perform a wide range of tasks or drive various systems and machines.

The rotary axis can be easily integrated into different housings and systems. The length and design of the rotary axis can vary according to customer requirements. The drive itself is certified for Zone 1. The highlight is the combination with the zone separation flange designed in-house. This makes it very easy to create a safe separation between Zone 1 and the existing Zone 0 in the system.

There are many interesting areas of application for this ATEX-approved rotary axis. One example is the driving of cleaning brushes in painting systems. Painting robots have to clean their spray nozzles after a period of work, for example when changing colors. The painting robot therefore moves the nozzle to the rotating axis with brush and thus cleans its work tool independently. Another area of application is in cleaning systems. Suspended horizontally or vertically in a cleaning chamber, the axis rotates the soiled parts previously attached to the axis. The fixed cleaning nozzle now reaches all parts from all sides. A perfect cleaning result is guaranteed.

PTM mechatronics develops individual products according to customer requirements in its special production. The application possibilities of the rotary axis are therefore inexhaustible.
