The range of applications for agitators is enormous and covers many different industries from food production and automation to pharmaceuticals and chemicals, to name but a few. How the agitators are connected to the agitator vessels can vary from application to application, but is always via some kind of flange.

In some industries, norms and standards have emerged and now form the basis for almost uniformly used flange solutions. This greatly simplifies the installation of new applications and the replacement of agitators.

So-called DN flanges are mainly used in the pharmaceutical and laboratory sectors. The flange solution ultimately consists of two welding neck flanges that are held together by a clamp. By opening the clamp, the agitators can be easily and quickly disconnected from the tank and the agitator shaft.

In response to several inquiries from customers in the pharmaceutical and laboratory sectors, PTM mechatronics is now also developing its efficient ATEX agitators and agitator drives with a directly integrated DN flange solution according to customer requirements. The convenient complete solutions are available for the eco-Drive and eco-TopDrive agitator drives and the eco-Mix and eco-TopMix agitators.

Of course, PTM's special production can directly incorporate special customer wishes and requirements into the flange solution, thus opening up a wide range of possibilities.
