Many processes in agitator technology are cumbersome, outdated, time-consuming and, above all, dirty. However, the agitation of liquids is an important core process in many areas of industry. It should therefore be efficient, simple and, above all, clean.

PTM mechatronics is committed to redefining agitator technology for its customers. It goes without saying that processes in which media of all types and properties are processed non-stop can be hygienic and simple, reduced to a minimum of labor.

Changing agitator shafts is an everyday process in many industries. When stirring paints, for example, an agitator is used to stir different colors. Constant cleaning of the agitator shaft is not practical due to time constraints. The agitator shaft must therefore be removed from the agitator and replaced with another agitator shaft for the new color.

Previously, screws had to be laboriously loosened and reattached. Often awkward with just one hand, as the other hand has to hold the agitator shaft. Two people may therefore have to carry out this process. This costs time and money. Tools are also used. But what happens if a tool accidentally falls into the liquid inside the mixing container? In any case, it is still not possible to carry out the process without contaminating the entire mixing area, including the agitator.

Of course, this is no longer up to date. The process must be simple, fast and, especially for applications in sensitive environments, hygienic. With these basic requirements as cornerstones, the engineers at PTM mechatronics developed the Quick-change system for eco-Quick agitator shafts. With just one movement, the agitator shaft can be smoothly removed from the socket and reattached just as easily. No tools, no screws. A special seal prevents substances from penetrating the quick-change system. This is easy to replace. This makes the replacement system durable and easy to maintain. The system is made entirely from high-quality stainless steel in our in-house production facility and is therefore robust and, above all, easy to clean, even with aggressive cleaning agents.
