What is the DGUV?

The German Social Accident Insurance is the umbrella organization of the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions for the industrial sector and the accident insurance institution for the public sector. The statutory accident insurance supports employers, managers and safety officers in communicating numerous occupational safety topics.

DGUV and agitators

As the DGUV is concerned with the prevention of accidents at work within its field of activity, safety requirements for various areas of industry are created here. The DGUV comments: „There is currently no European harmonized work equipment-specific standard for stand and suspension agitators. However, as agitators with very different safety levels are available on the market, a DGUV set of rules was created in an exchange of experience between manufacturers, operators, employers“ liability insurance associations and associations."
