Fruity fresh - gentle fruit processing with flexible PTM mixing system

Sea buckthorn, aronia, Jerusalem artichoke - these are the local fruits from which our customer, the Lienig Wildfruchtverarbeitung GmbH based in Brandenburg, not far from Berlin's Werder/Havelland orchard, produces its high-quality fruit juices, concentrates and pulps.

Flexibility between 15 and 1,100 liters

Lienig uses different stainless steel containers to process its fresh fruit, which can vary from small containers of just 15 to 60 liters to large IBC and stainless steel containers of 600 to 1,100 liters. And this is precisely where the challenge lies. Our customer wanted a single, very flexible agitator for all these container sizes, with their various openings from Ø150 to 500 mm, so that he did not have to keep a separate agitator for each container size.

The result of our developers

Our development department designed a complete system consisting of an agitator and a flexible plug-in traverse:

Our most powerful agitator drive with protection class IP67 and a torque of 32 Nm was chosen to reliably mix the highly viscous porridges. The agitator shaft and agitator element were designed in two different sizes and can be easily replaced when changing the container thanks to the standard thread on the drive.

A small crossbar made of high-quality stainless steel fixes the agitator to both the small containers and the stainless steel containers with DN400 openings. For the IBC containers, the small crossbeam is simply attached to a large crossbeam and can thus be quickly converted. In this way, Lienig can now serve all container sizes from 15 to 1,100 liters with just one agitator.
