As camadas deslizam umas sobre as outras. Este \u00e9 particularmente o caso a baixas velocidades de escoamento. Exemplos de fluxos laminares s\u00e3o o fluxo de sangue no corpo humano ou o fluxo de \u00e1guas subterr\u00e2neas.<\/p>\n<p>Se a velocidade do fluxo for aumentada, ocorre turbul\u00eancia irregular em todas as tr\u00eas dimens\u00f5es. A estrutura em camadas dissolve-se. A troca de part\u00edculas torna-se cada vez mais ca\u00f3tica e intensifica-se \u00e0 medida que a velocidade aumenta. Este efeito \u00e9 frequentemente apoiado por instala\u00e7\u00f5es no tanque do agitador, os chamados deflectores. Exemplos de um fluxo turbulento s\u00e3o o leite derramado no caf\u00e9 ou os redemoinhos num rio.<\/p>\n<h5>Agita\u00e7\u00e3o laminar ou turbulenta?<\/h5>\n<p>A partir das explica\u00e7\u00f5es anteriores, pode deduzir-se que a mistura ou a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de calor no interior de uma mistura ocorre mais r\u00e1pida e eficazmente com fluxos turbulentos do que com fluxos laminares. Por conseguinte, esta \u00e9 sempre uma op\u00e7\u00e3o se a mistura reagir de forma insens\u00edvel ao fluxo e a quaisquer for\u00e7as de cisalhamento. Em contrapartida, o fluxo laminar tem um efeito mais suave sobre a mistura.
